About Katie

If you ask my family, they'll tell you I've had a golf club in my hand since I was three years old! Golf has always been a huge part of my life… although funnily enough, it wasn't actually my first sporting love.

Growing up, I was passionate about table tennis, representing England on numerous occasions and becoming British Champion for my age while I was still at school.

It wasn't until I was around 12 that golf really took hold. Within a year, I'd reduced my handicap to 5, and just a couple of years later I was playing off scratch. In 2012, I turned professional from a +2 handicap and spent several years competing, travelling and enjoying life on tour.

Alongside playing, coaching was always something I loved. I spent countless hours shadowing my dad, who was also a PGA Professional, watching how he worked with golfers of all abilities. Those hours taught me that every golfer is different, and it's a lesson that's stayed with me throughout my career. I've taken the traditional values and knowledge I learnt from him and combined them with modern coaching methods to create an approach that's both personal and effective.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham as a PGA Professional, I went on to become a PGA Director of Golf. Since then, I've achieved Advanced PGA Professional status and, more recently, Fellow PGA Professional status—something I'm incredibly proud of.

For me, coaching has never been about teaching one perfect swing. Every golfer is different, so every lesson should be too. I take the time to understand you as a person, how you learn best and what motivates you. From there, I adapt my coaching to suit you and help you achieve your own goals, whatever they may be.

I also love bringing ideas from other sports and skills into my coaching because they're often easier to relate to and can make learning more enjoyable. Golf is about much more than technique, which is why I'm also qualified in golf psychology coaching. Combining technical coaching with performance psychology allows me to help golfers build confidence, manage pressure and enjoy playing their best golf more consistently.

Over the years, I've developed a range of unique drills, games and coaching methods designed to make learning fun while helping golfers feel happier, more confident and more capable every time they step onto the course.

Whether you're picking up a club for the very first time, looking to lower your handicap or aiming to compete at the highest level, my goal is simple: to help you enjoy your golf, build confidence and become the best golfer you can be.

There's nothing more rewarding than seeing that moment when everything clicks - when a golfer starts believing in themselves, plays with freedom and walks off the course with a smile. If I can help you improve and enjoy the game a little more every time you play, then I've done exactly what I set out to do. I'd love to be part of your golfing journey.
